Just think about it. The wind in your hair, the feel of your feet hitting the earth as your heart pounds in your chest. The fynbos, the views, breaking in your trail running shoes…
Where are you running to? The ultimate spot to view the Absa Cape Epic.
What happens when you get there? You’ll have front row seats (well, technically you’ll be standing) to watch some of the world’s toughest cyclists battle it out on South Africa’s most beautiful terrain. In short, the experience of a lifetime.

Stage 1 Hermanus - Hemel-en-aarde ±6km

Meet at Virgin Active Club-V area at 07:15
Bus leaves race village at 7:30
Once at Water Table 1, a.k.a ‘the view point’, we’ll watch the riders for about 30mins before heading back to the race village on the bus.
Stage 6 Grabouw - Oak Valley ±7km

Once at Water Table 2, a.k.a ‘the other view point’, we’ll watch the riders for about 30mins before heading back to the race village on the bus.
What we’ll supply:
- Transport
- Guided trail run with a backup medical runner
- Water table with refreshments
What you need to bring:
- Your A-game. This is no walk in the park, so you’ll need to be fit enough to keep a steady pace over the whole distance to make the viewpoints.
- Water bottle
- Trail running kit
- Sunblock and a hat
We only have space for 40 runners per run, so on your marks, get set, sign up!
No under 18’s are allowed.
This is a fun event and it will not a timed. Therefore there are no winner’s prizes available.
